Vantz-Clippert: Brut NV

[English] Made from 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay. Golden color with exquisite sparkle and very nice mousse. In the aroma we get butter and earth tones followed by ripe citrus fruit, white nectarine, blood orange, kumquat and yeast. A second glass revealed a beautiful red fruits Pinot Noir character. The mouthfeel is smooth and unctuous. The attack is soft with smokey touches and round fruit character. On the palate we get the ripe citrus fruits, cherry, yellow napoleon candies with ephemeral roasted chestnut. The finish is long with a mild spiciness of mace, delicious melon but somewhat overripe citrus with oxalic acids. Excellent balance. An ideal easygoing party champagne.

[NL] Gemaakt van 90% Pinot Noir en 10% Chardonnay. Gouden kleur met verfijnde pareling en zeer mooie mousse. In het aroma krijgen een aanzet van boter en aarde gevolgd door rijp citrusfruit, witte nectarine, bloedsinaasappel, kumquat en gist. Een tweede glas onthulde een prachtig Pinot Noir karakter met rode vruchten. Het mondgevoel is smeuïg en zalvend. De aanzet is zacht met rokerige toetsen. In de smaak krijgen we het rijpe citrusfruit, kers, gele napoleon snoepjes met efemere gepofte kastanje. De finale is lang met een milde kruidigheid van foelie, heerlijke meloen maar wat overrijpe citrus met oxaalzuren. Zeer mooie balans. Een ideale easy going partychampagne.
